Laser Hazard Evaluation

Different high-power lasers have different individual hazards, including optical hazards, UV radiation, high voltages, ozone generation, toxic chemicals and gases, etc.

A laser hazard evaluation shall be performed to identify all hazards associated with a laser or laser system and to determine the necessary control measures. Jetlasers labs can provide assistance in performing the hazard evaluation.

The hazard evaluation will take into account the following aspects:

• The laser or laser system’s capability of injuring personnel.
• The environment in which the laser is used.
• The personnel who may use or be exposed to laser radiation.

Basic "Laser Danger" Signs

In accordance with ANSI Z136.1-2000 an area which contains a Class IIIa laser or laser system should be posted with an appropriate caution sign. (See example below)

In accordance with ANSI Z136.1-2000 an area which contains a Class IIIb and Class IV laser or laser system shall be posted with an appropriate danger sign. (See example below)

Laser Safety Guide

1. For the purpose of personnel safety, please do not direct the laser beam toward human body, especially human eyes.

2. In case of using the laser, please put the laser on the metal plane of easy heat emission or in the natural ventilation environment as it is sensitive to temperature.

3 With regard to long term storage, the laser should be stored in a damp-proof and anti-static environment.

4. Severe collisions shall be avoided or the laser will be damaged.

5. No one shall modify the laser or take it apart at his or her own discretion and the Company will not take any responsibility for the loss arising thereof.

6. Never Aim Laser Pointers at Aircraft. You may be arrested, and you may help get laser pointers banned. (Notes: Download NEVER aim laser pointers

at aircraft!)

Warranty Provided by JetLasers Products

1. Any laser product or parts purchased from our company or any of our authorized dealers, distributors, or agents, if used in the proper way, enjoys one-year warranty service based on this warranty; in case the maintenance is beyond the scope of this warranty, the Company will provide charged maintenance service based on the actual situation.

2. The following circumstances are excluded from the warranty. The laser does not have a warranty or serial number or the seal on the product is removed or damaged, or the product is taken apart by the user at his or her own discretion. The laser is taken apart or the components of the laser were replaced by the user at his or her own discretion and problems emerged from the foregoing improper operations. Malfunction or damage caused due to improper usage, repair or modification, or caused due to improper operation not following the instructions or using the laser in the adverse environment or due to the severe collision caused by the purchaser in installation or transportation. With regard to the repaired or replaced laser, the warranty will not be extended. The normal reduction of the use life of the laser will not be included into the warranty. The warranty shall be properly filled out. It takes effect after the seal of our agent is attached thereto. Malfunction or damage due to natural disaster such as fire, earthquake, flood, thunder, etc or the abnormal source voltage.

3. The company reserves the right of final interpretation to the foregoing provisions.In case of issues relating to the products, please feel free to contact the Company or its agents. We will provide you the solutions as soon as practicable.Your opinions and suggestions for the products are most acceptable. And we will spare no efforts to improve our products.

Notes: Each of JETLASERS' dealers, distributors and agents should add a prominent warning on each >1mw laser pointer or portable laser, such as “NEVER aim a laser beam at an aircraft. It is unsafe, you may be arrested, and you may help cause laser pointers to be banned.”

JETLASERS warrants all laser products sold to be free of defects in manufacture and workmanship for one (1) year or twelve (12) months fomr the day when the laser model is manufactured..

This warranty is not transferable and applies only to the original consumer purchaser of the product. JETLASERS will, as its sole obligation under this warranty, replace or repair, at its option, any product that does not conform to this warranty.

Under no circumstances will JETLASERS be liable for any incidental or consequential damages such as misuse, neglect, abuse, accident and normal wear and tear under this warranty or any implied warranties. Any attempted dis-assembly by a user will void the product warranty and may irreparably damage the product.
